About the event
The virtual Aerobatic Team Airshow is something like RIAT or MAKS: a big airshow where virtual aerobatic teams perform their displays and show their skills to the international Lock ON community. It's the only virtual airshow (based on Lock ON) where more than one aerobatic team shows its display.
Spectators will again have the chance to watch some of the best known and most talented Lock ON: FC-Aerobatic Teams. Further they can listen to all the communication of the aerobatic teams via TeamSpeak/Ventrillo.
This year special thanks are going out to:

When?
The event will take place on Friday, November 16th - Saturday, November 17th - Sunday, November 18th. on the JaBoG32 Dedicated Server (for participants, ATC and staff-crew only!) and VTB Dedicated Server (look below).
Want to spectate?
This year we want to gurantee a maximum of performance of the servers for the participating teams. This means - in order to avoid lags - that there are no spectators on the server. The game-server itself offers about twenty five slots for the aerobatic teams (and their coordinators), the organization crew and our ATC. The main "crowd line" is going to be seated in front of the video livestream and we are all really happy to announce that we finally got the tv-stream working. More than enough slots will be available for all of you to enjoy the event. However, if you head for freedom of perspective-choice and/or better picture-quality you’ll have to wait for the track-files which will be available right after the flight of the teams.
The video-stream is realized and provided by PSV_Manu and Interoute - thanks a lot. It will be available throughout the whole show.
You may also connect to our Public TeamSpeak Server, thus you can talk to other aerobatic enthusiasts.

Please note that we're using the Lock ON Version 1.12a. So be sure you have the latest Lock ON Patch installed.

Are there any required mods?
Yes, there are. In order to participate (as spectator or aerobatic team) you need the Airshow Modification 2007. The Modification includes all skins and aircrafts of the participating aerobatic teams. Please note that you can only see the aerobatic teams in their correct aircarfts and colors when you have installed the VFAT2007 Modification on your computer. You can download the modification from our Downloadsection. All teams and spectators are advised to install this modification.

How to connect to the main event server?
The server is going to start at about 18.45 GMT on Friday and at about 17.45 GMT on Saturday. In order to prevent other virtual pilots from joining the server, it is going to be password protected. Please be sure to enter the password when you connect to the server. Please note that the password may change throughout the show. We will announce any changes in the VFAT Channel on the TeamSpeak Server. If you are just a spectator and watch the show via the live stream you don't have to care about server ip or password changes.

Phraseology and Procedures
All Aerobatic Teams have to connect to the JaBoG32 Public TS where they will be controlled and navigated by our Air Traffic Controller. If you have troubles connecting to the TeamSpeak Server try to use following IP instead of the hostname below: 85.13.130.96:8868 (same password).

In order to have a smooth running airshow we're going to use some very simple procedures and phraseology. These request- and clearance-procedures are just made for a smooth run of the event with no accidents as all want a clear frequence and airspace for their display.
What Airbase & Mission
The VFAT (Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams) is going to take place on a lovely, warm day in summer on Razdolnoye Airbase (North-West Crimea). The first Aerobatic Teams will depart at about 2 pm (In-Game-Time).
As soon as the mission is finished we will publish it on this site for download, so that you can prepare for the event and do some kind of private rehearsal.
