MFD Update für MiG-29

This file provides a new features for the MFD Display of Russian and
Ukranian MiG29A and MiG29S. It will not work on MiG29G.

What this file is for

In online fights, it is very important to keep yourself and the other
members of your flight in the picture about where exactly your opponents are.
You will see them displayed on your MFD, wether your own radar has
detected them or you see them fed in via datalink from AWACS. You can
easily determine the bearing to those oppenents, only the range gives
you a problem because of the unusual scales (256, 128 and 64 km) and
the crude line display.
I found it quite usefull to have an additional range mark on the display
marking the ranges of 100 km on 256-scale, 50 km on 128-scale and so on.

This additional range mark will appear in red and provides an extra
reference for an quick estimate of the opponent's range. It was
roughly 'calibrated' at 256 and 128 scale.


How to install

This zip file comes with the README file, a screenshot of the new feature
as it will look in your cockpit and the new MFD file itself.

You need the CDDS Browser or LOMAN 1.52 (CDDS Browser is integrated in LOMAN)
to install this file.

1. Unzip the file MFD-29-256x256.tga into a folder on your PC.
Remember where you put it !

2. Start the CDDS Browser

3. The browser window displays two menus for selecting a path
for file transfer in the top left portion. Select as the upper path
'Lock On/Bazar/World/Cockpits TexturesTGA.cdds'. Select as the lower path
where you have saved the new MFD-File.

4. The content of the Cockpits TexturesTGA.cdds will be displayed in
the middle right window. Scroll down and mark MFD-29-256x256.tga. The MFD
will appear in the left browser window. In the lower right window, all the
related sub files will show up (only info).

5. Select 'Insert' from the top menu. A window 'Texture Insertion' pops up.
As 'Input file format' select TGA. The CDDS Browser will save a copy of the
CDDS file by default.

6. Select 'Quit' and the 'Texture Insertion' window disappears. The new
MFD will be displayed in the left Browser window.

7. Close the CDDS Browser.

8. Enjoy the new feature!

nich zu viel von erhoffen. das einzige was sich ändert im MFD ist, das da nen roter kreis is. mehr is da nich...

Benutze das Addon seit gut 2 Monaten, und finde, dass es etwas einfacher
ist, sich am Kreis zu orientieren als am Raster des MFD.
